Next Steps…
What You Need to Provide Once You’ve Approved Your Website Design Quote
Starting a new website is an exciting step for any business. To ensure we create a website that accurately reflects your brand and delivers a seamless experience for your audience, there are a few essential things we need from you before we begin the design process. Gathering this information upfront helps avoid delays and ensures we stay aligned with your goals every step of the way.
1. Written Content
We ask that all text content for the website be provided in a clearly formatted Word document. This includes:
- Homepage welcome message or business introduction
- About Us section
- Services offered (with details for each service)
- Product descriptions (if applicable)
- Testimonials
- Contact details (email, phone, address, hours, etc.)
- Any additional call-to-action messaging
Please proofread your content before submission to save time during the build process.
2. High-Resolution Logo and Images
Send us your high-resolution logo files and any high-quality images you’d like featured. This may include:
- Staff photos
- Product images
- Team or location shots
- Portfolio or project examples
If you don’t have your own images, we’re happy to help source high-quality stock photography that suits your brand.
3. Domain Name and Hosting Information
You’ll need a registered domain name and an active web hosting plan. If you already have these in place, please provide:
- Domain registrar login (e.g., GoDaddy, Crazy Domains)
- Hosting login details (e.g., cPanel or web host account)
If you haven’t purchased a domain or hosting yet, we can assist you in setting those up.
4. Design Inspiration and Preferences
To understand your vision better, it’s helpful if you can share examples of websites you like and explain what you like about them—whether it’s the layout, colours, functionality, or tone. This helps us create a design that reflects your style and industry.
You should also let us know your brand colours, preferred fonts, and any must-have design elements.
5. Functionality Requirements
If your site needs special features like an online store, detailed contact forms, booking systems, or client portals, please list those clearly. We’ll confirm what’s possible within the build and provide recommendations if needed.
6. Access to Shared Google Drive Folder
To keep everything organized and avoid losing important files in long email threads, create a shared Google Drive folder for your project. All text, images, and related documents should be uploaded there so that our staff can access them.
Summary Checklist (Quick Reference):
✔ Written website content in a Word document
✔ High-res logo and quality images
✔ Domain and hosting logins (or request assistance)
✔ Examples of websites you like
✔ Branding details (colours, fonts, style preferences)
✔ List of required features or functionality
✔ All materials uploaded to shared Google Drive folder
Providing this information early ensures a smoother process and a final website that truly reflects your business. If you’re unsure about any of these items, we’re here to help walk you through it!
